visit: Museum of Communications

I recently visited the Museum of Communications here in Portugal and I decided to take a few pictures because I was mesmerized by the history in it. There was a story behind every image and it felt like we were living it. The lady who gave us the tour was an intern and she was interesting except for the times when she went "uhm,.. I'm not sure", and that happened quite a few times :/. But overall it was an amazing experience, I learned a lot and I obviously recommend it to anyone who wants to visit to Lisbon.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them I'll gladly answer.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and remember,

Stay tuned, xo.

update: Back again, this time for good!

My last post was on March and I know I promised I'd post more regularly but there's a funny thing about life - it never goes as we expect.

This second sentence took me a while to type, am I losing my touch, or am I finding out that I never had it? Anyway, these past few weeks my laptop charger, after years of pain, finally gave in and in the past 9 months I've been busy taking an intensive course so this whole blogging thing just slipped away. I could see it going, but worst, I let it go. That's not me at all, I don't let things go, not when they matter.

There's only one week left of the course, so I reckon I'll be able to joggle things between work and this beauty here. ;)

I've been so busy I can barely see the seasons passing by.

I'm really looking forward to continue blogging and connecting with bloggers out there and just have fun with it, share ideas and learn from each other.

Hope you're all having a great day.

Have any of you ever faced this problem before: not being able to manage your blog because of school/work? - Leave a comment below, I wanna know how you did it :)

Stay tuned, xo.

review: Clean&Clear

First of all, I'm so glad to be back! Oh and no, I didn't travel anywhere, I've just been busy with life and all that boring stuff but I am really happy to be doing this now, the stuff that really matters.

Ok, so let's roll. This is a product I bought about 2/3 weeks ago and it was recommended by a friend. I've always had a problem with acne, pimples and black spots since my teenage years and it never really went away at all, somehow I feel like I'm jinxed, or I'd be if I believed in those things. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I could never find a product that worked, and because I have a very sensitive skin I always have bad reactions so I'm always afraid to try new things. There was only one thing that ever worked for me and it was a facial mask that basically peeled off layers of my skin, it was great. Unfortunately, my aunt didn't have any more and I couldn't find it anywhere, I think it was a black market thing, but let's not go too deep into that.
No matter what I did with my skin something always seemed to happen, and after years of this I felt like it was beyond my control so I honesly just gave up, and people kept saying that it'd get better with age.
And honestly it did, but I still ended up with something that'd remind you of a volcano after erupting (overall dryness and small lumps), there must be a name for that.
So for the past year or so I've been just washing my face with cold water twice a day, and it kinda works, but it's a slow process.
So I was talking to my friend the other day and she said this one was really good and it really worked. I was very reluctant but I thought to myself, "if it doesn't work too bad, but at least give it a try" so I did. And somehow I feel like that was the best decision I've made so far in 2014.
It's also very simple to use: apply and massage on wet skin for a while, once a day and then wash it off with tons of water. It's been only 2 weeks and I already feel so much better, the black spots are going and pimples are basically a distant memory. The only disadvantage: it dries the skin a bit, but is that a real problem?

It cost me 7,99€ and it is worth every cent.
If you read all this (it got a bit out of hand), and got this far then congratulations.
Leave a comment below and tell me what you think.

Stay tuned, xo.

New Year: 2014

It's always sad when a year ends. I mean, it's never going to be 2013 ever again! Well, unless somehow humanity loses count and starts over, but let's not rely on that.
I was never one to make new year's resolutions. Living the whole year by a bucket list is too much pressure isn't it? Doing the best I possibly can is more than enough for me and it works perfectly. There is not a single December 31st picture of me whining about all the things I didn't do.
Of course that doesn't mean everything goes smoothly, there are things that are beyond me, way beyond me. And others that are completely in my control, and still go wrong - that's just how life works.
This year was pretty ok. Nothing extraordinary happened, it was like sitting outside reading a book in a calm spring afternoon. I learned a lot as I do every year and there were a few things I realized about myself.
I met a lot of great people and lost a few, but L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.
Hope 2014 is great for all of you. I'm going to make an effort and try to do more of this blogging thing.

Best wishes, xo.

Review:. Midnight Passion - H&M Nail Polish

So, I think this might be my first official review.

Tighten your seat belts, it's likely to be a rough ride.

I've always loved the whole H&M Nail Polish range. It's a good solid, trustworthy product and it lasts forever.
For this season I thought I'd go for the IT colour: berry, burgundy, wine, maroon, rosewood, ruby. Really all darker shades of red. It reflects the light and it's very easy to remove. It's all you need.
I highly recommend it, don't think twice just go for it.
Price: 2,95€

Stay tuned, xo.

In: Wild Ombré

I'm late on this I KNOW but I've been in an invisible waiting line to get it, but at the time the line was sooo long I just gave up and went home. You all know what I mean. About two months ago every second corner had a girl with a bad D.I.Y. ombré effect and I didn't want to fall into that category, so I waited. I waited and it hurt because first, I hate waiting and second, I really wanted to see how it would look on me. And now I can't wait, I just can't wait for tomorrow.

Stay tuned, I'll post some pics on my next post, xo.

Sound of the Moment #4

Arctic Monkeys - Arabella

I've had this post as a draft for quite a while now.  But I still LOVE this song.

This song, I mean, this whole album is a gift sent from above. Much better that anything I was expecting and I'm still not over how good it is. This sort of talent is not to be taken lightly, THIS IS GOLD. This band keeps surprising me, they never settle and that's one of the reasons why they're one of my favs.
Seriously, wishing my name was Arabella.
Give it a try, it won't hurt.

Stay tuned, xo.

PS: I haven't blogged for ages and I feel awful about that. I kept postponing it and that suddenly became a routine. "I had so many things happening and I just couldn't find the time." - That's what I tell myself but deep down I know it's complete bs. I'm really really sorry but it's all good now, I've honestly missed this.
